For the last two years my first camping getaway has been with cycling club. This year I am taking a three day break from Australia Day (Wed 26 Jan) before joining them on Friday. I didn't want to go too far from home and found a Scout Campground near Cooroy about 12 Km away.
I teed up a house/dog sitter for few days and set off after lunch. It took me some time to find the campground eventually found it off dirt road. It was cheap and quite nicely set up.
As I started to set my camper up it began to pour with rain. I put on my rain jacket and set um my tent with awning but left the walls off as it was very warm.
I chatted with my neighbours and joined them for dinner. It had stopped raining and we sat outside until 10.00pm before I went to bed.
If rained on and off all night but I was dry!
This morning I cooked breakfast under my awning then went for a walk around the campground before setting up this blog.
