The day started early as the Brisbane Airport Shuttle picked me up at 5.30am. The journey to the airport is about 130Km but because I was the first pick up and there were 22 other pick ups along the 60km of Sunshine Coast it was gone 9.00am before we arrived.
Aftere dropping of my bags had time for a light breakfast before going to the departure lounge where we had a 30 minute delay. The flight to Melbourne was just about two and a half hours and with the hours time difference we arrived at 3.00pm.
My tour organizer, Mark, contacted on my mobile and arranged to pick me up at the terminal. He drove me to Mansfield, about a 90 minute drive but as he pointed out the Rail Trail locations a he drove it was 5.30pm before we arrived.
After checking into the Mansfield Travellers Lodge I freshened up an went out to dinner before returning to my room to type up this blog.
